Thank you for visiting the C·R·E·A·T·E for Mississippi Web site. The lesson plans contained in this section of our Web site were created by in-service teacher participants with the C·R·E·A·T·E for Mississippi project, our Lead Teachers. If you have not done so already, you can find a list of the participating Core Schools where these teachers work under the Grant Information section of the site.

Putting these lessons online has been a collaborative effort between the C·R·E·A·T·E for Mississippi staff members and the Lead Teachers. The Lead Teachers write the lessons and provide the subject-area expertise. C·R·E·A·T·E for Mississippi staff members assist the teachers in getting the lessons formatted for the online environment. Many of the teacher authors are new to technology, as you may be, but all are working toward the same goal of creating technology-infused lessons that will engage the students and lead to an enthusiasm for learning.

A great deal of effort has gone into making the C·R·E·A·T·E for Mississippi lessons user-friendly by providing consistent formatting from one lesson to another as well as handouts that can be downloaded and reproduced for classroom use. Whenever possible examples of students' work have been included. There are even video clips with some lessons that can help you and your students understand the lesson activities better.

The majority of the C·R·E·A·T·E for Mississippi lesson plans contain links to resource Web sites. These sites have been selected by the lesson authors as appropriate for use with students in the grade level involved in the lesson activities. To the best of our knowledge, none of these Web sites contain or link to inappropriate material of any type. Should you as a site user discover an appropriate link from any of our Web site pages, please contact our Web master immediately, and the link will be removed.

It is our policy to seek permission for any photographs or materials used on this site other than our own, including the work of students. We have also obtained the permission of the students' parents for any work or photographs of them posted to the C·R·E·A·T·E for Mississippi Web site. We have not used knowingly any copyrighted material belonging to an individual or group. As a matter of privacy, it is our policy not to publish the last names of students on our Web site.

Please feel free to contact our Web master if you find problems with any of the lessons. And, keep coming back to this Web page as we will be posting new lessons here throughout the year.
