Dan Brook, Ed.D., Center Director
Dr. Brook has over thirty-five years' experience in technology-related, educational endeavors at the university level. He served for many years as the Associate Department Head and taught graduate-level courses in what is now known at the Department of Instructional Systems, Leadership, and Workforce Development. Dr. Brook was instrumental in designing and implementing the Mississippi FiberNet 2000 project, the nation's first fiber optic, fully interactive, two-way distance learning network operated over public-telephone-switched facilities. He has served as Principal Investigator for a number of grants including the Tri-State Network Project, the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History's Natural Partners Classroom Project, COAST:STARBORD, and COAST:PILOT. In addition to his duties with CETT, Dr. Brook currently serves as Head of Computer Applications and Services for the 82-county system of the Mississippi State University Extension Service. Dr. Brook's specialty areas include advanced telecommunications network design and implementation, instructional technology, industrial training, microcomputers, electronics, automation, and industrial controls.
Christy Daughtry, Administrative Assistant
As Administrative Assistant, Mrs. Daughtry manages and coordinates the business operations of the Center, which includes budget preparation and control, human resources administration, accounts payable, accounts receivable, contract and grant accounting, and business resources. She has 16 years experience at Mississippi State University.

Peter Graves, Web Designer; C·R·E·A·T·E for Mississippi Field Coordinator
Mr. Graves has an undergraduate degree in history and a Master's Degree in Applied Visualization, a research-based curriculum that teaches students to conceptualize ideas in three dimensions. He has designed, built, and/or updated and maintained numerous Web sites for CETT including the COAST Web site at http://coast-nopp.org, the C·R·E·A·T·E for Mississippi Web site at http://create4ms.org, and the newly revised CETT Web site at http://cett.msstate.edu. Mr. Graves has presented workshops at the local, state, and national levels in the areas of digital photography, digital video, Web-page design, computer maintenance and repair, the Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Suite. He also currently serves as a field coordinator with the C·R·E·A·T·E for Mississippi project.

Tom Hutchinson, Ph.D., Multimedia Web Designer
Dr. Hutchinson has expertise in the areas of instructional multimedia development, instructional design, video and DVD production, web design and development, graphic design, and Lingo and ActionScript programming languages. He has conducted Macromedia Director workshops and taught a graduate-level course in advanced Multimedia. His research interests include interface and content delivery design and cognitive load theory as they relate to instructional multimedia. He has worked on the TITEC, SAIL, and ATOMS2 projects for CETT.

Dale Jordan, Multimedia Web Designer
Mr. Jordan has a Bachelor's Degree in Geology and a second undergraduate degree in Graphic Design. He is currently working on a Master's Degree in the Department of Instructional Systems, Leadership, and Workforce Development. Prior to joining the CETT Staff he served as a trainer in the Mitchell Memorial Library's Instructional Media Center. He has expertise in both graphic design and multimedia design and has taught workshops in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Pagemaker, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft FrontPage, Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft PowerPoint, basic HTML, elements of good design, Macromedia Flash, and Macromedia Director. Mr. Jordan has worked on the SAIL, TITEC, and ATOMS2 projects for CETT and produced graphic design elements for CETT publications and proposals.

Betty Latimer, Ph.D., Center Project Manager
Dr. Latimer has 15 years' experience in teaching, training, and curriculum development at the K-12 and university levels. She was one of the original grant writers for the C·R·E·A·T·E for Mississippi Project and has seen that project develop into a model for technology integration during its years of operation. Dr. Latimer has given presentations and conducted workshops at the local, state, and national levels and authored articles for national publications. She served on the national Youth Technology Support Collaborative (YTSC) that published A School Decision-Maker's Guide to Student Technology Support Programs: The Power of Learning & Leadership, and she was a member of the Teacher/Administrator Task Force that helped develop the state Technology Plan 2003-2008. Her research interests relate to data-gathering techniques for classroom use of technology and teacher technology skills.

Brian McCann, Ph.D., ATOMS2XP Project Coordinator
Dr. McCann's undergraduate and graduate background is in Geosciences and Meteorology. He has taught physical science, physics labs, and technical writing at the college level. His areas of expertise include multimedia programming and curriculum design, and his research interests include distance education, learning styles, and technology in education. He has experience developing both Web pages and multimedia materials. Dr. McCann is the Project Coordinator for the ATOMS2 project and has worked on CETT's COSEE, SAIL, and TITEC projects.

Sean Owen, Ph.D., ATOMS2XP and C·R·E·A·T·E for Mississippi Information Technology Specialist
Dr. Owen has both Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Biological Sciences, and a Ph.D. in Education. He has taught Biology and Microbiology labs at the college level. He has several years' experience in technology training on a variety of topics including Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, Web design, Web publishing, digital imaging, computer maintenance and repair, troubleshooting computers, wireless and wired networking, Moodle, online help desk, and computer building. Dr. Owen has implemented CETT's online data-gathering instruments and utilizes his expertise to collate and analyze statistical data generated by those instruments. His research interests include the relationship of on-site Technology Facilitators to technology usage and technology skills of teachers and the relationship between technology integration and higher-order thinking skills.

Connie Templeton, Center Operations Manager and Outfitters for Life Field Coordinator
Mrs. Templeton has a Master's Degree in Instructional Technology and extensive experience in leading teacher technology training workshops on topics that include image preparation, the use of digital cameras in the classroom, Adobe PhotoDeluxe, and Microsoft Office. She served as Team Leader for the Splendors of Versailles project and as Operations Manager for COAST:STARBORD, COAST:PILOT, and C·R·E·A·T·E for Mississippi. She has given presentations at the state and national levels. Currently she serves as the Field Coordinator for the Outfitters for Life Program, an after-school program involving Louisville Municipal School District and the Choctaw County School District.
