 |
Goal:
To foster teachers' increased awareness and understanding of marine and coastal environments, thereby promoting the responsible use, management, and development of these fragile areas through first-hand oceanography and geography experiences aboard a U. S. Navy ship, in a face-to-face workshop, and during classroom lectures/presentations by visiting scientists delivered via video conferences, video streaming, and/or CD-ROM technologies
Focus:
To facilitate the technology-based systems designed to deliver the follow-up keynote lectures/presentations of distinguished scientists for the COSEE: CGOM Scientist/Teacher Institute for Teachers in both real time and archived in video streaming or CD-ROM formats; to design, develop, and maintain the Institute's Web page including its password-protected components for teacher participants
