The Center

The Center for Educational and Training Technology (CETT) was created in 1996 to provide for the development and implementation of innovative software tools and information technologies as well as staff development training in the use of those tools and technologies through an interdisciplinary approach involving a wide cross section of units, departments, and colleges from Mississippi State University, state and federal agencies, and corporate America. The ultimate goal is to enhance teaching and learning at all educational levels through the effective integration of emerging and innovative technologies.

CETT is composed of two major divisions that include the Technology Integration and Training Group and the Multimedia Development Group. The Center is located in the Bost Extension Center on the Mississippi State University Campus in Starkville, Mississippi. Center work is supported through grants and contracts. The Center has a staff of five, two with doctoral degrees and three with Master's degrees. Dr. Betty Latimer is the Interim Center Director.
